Valentine's Day Waffle

There aren't many ways to better show your love on Valentine's Day than a breakfast featuring our heart-shaped waffles! Pure and simple, the mini heart-shaped waffle are a super quick and easy way to create a delicious breakfast, showing love at the same time. We used the By Dash Mini Waffle Makers. They're are available from various online retailers.

These waffles are infinitely customizable - add your favorite mix-ins (we recommend no more than 1/2 a cup per cup of waffle batter), or dip in chocolate (chill the waffles completely before doing so), or sprinkle with cinnamon sugar!

Makes: 8 - 10 mini waffles, depending on the size of your waffle maker


1 egg or egg replacer
3/4 cup milk of choice
1 teaspoon oil of choice (note: if using an oil that's solid at cool temperatures, like coconut oil, melt the oil before beginning this recipe)
1/2 teaspoon gluten free vanilla extract


To 1 cup pancake/waffle mix, add 1 teaspoon of oil of choice, 1 egg or egg replacer, 3/4 cup of milk of choice, 1/2 teaspoon of gluten-free vanilla.

Mix well until blended into a smooth batter. Turn your waffle iron to preheat.

Scoop approximately 3 tablespoons of batter into your waffle maker, depending on the size of the waffle maker. Cook for about 3 minutes, according to your waffle iron's instructions, until golden brown.
